Crazy Ladies, Drug Dealers, & Cockroaches...

My first weekend in L.A. I love it. Haha from the title one would guess I'm not.

Arrived in Saturday morning into LAX. They should just rename it Los Angeles Zoo. Got unto the wrong shuttle because even the bus drivers can't find they're way around this massive city. He told me I should go to Westwood instead of Union Station to get to the house I'm subletting...thanks.

Anyway I hauled my 150 lbs of luggage 2 blocks to Wilshire and dragged it unto the 720 Rapid. I got off at La Brea & Oylmpic. My landlord/roommate picked me up and I was at my place.

Tenaya (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1569879/) is awesome and reminds me a lot of Hannah!! Except for Tenaya is out there PURSUING acting (sorry a little motivation for my talented sister). I know, I know you just got married and all kinda a big deal...but still!

The next two days were all about groceries and acclimation...speaking of acclimation:

L.A. Experience #1:

I went jogging on Sunday around 8:00 am. Saw a pleasant looking man in a Nike Jumpsuit talking on a cell sitting on the steps of an apartment complex. He nodded and smiled to me as I passed smiling.....
9:00 am coming home from run...he's still there......
12:30 pm on the way out of the neighborhood, exploring city & groceries...he's still there.......
5:30 pm coming home from shopping and adventure.......he's STILL there = Drug Dealer (or he was locked out ALL 9 hours)

He smiles at me when I go by...he's just at the same corner....all day....doing nothing....but has a cell phone? So isn't homeless, and is wearing nice clothes = Drug Dealer or Undercover Cop, lol

L.A. Experience #2:

Funny story, was on the bus Sunday. Just bought a bus pass, it is kinda shiny. A homely nice hispanic lady asked me to if she could look at it, I let her.

As soon as I took it back she looks me right in the eyes and abrubtly rants in Spanish. Total change of face, tone, and mental state.

I think she was witnessing, something about God, Hands, repenting, dying, living, loving, my Spanish is rusty and she was talking rapido. Then she stops just as abruptly as she started. 2 minutes later she asks some other latino passengers if they speak Spanish some so yes other say no, one completely ignores her, as if this is a repeat sit-com.

She then stands up and yells and waves at the whole bus this time still in Spanish...

The bus driver tells her to be quiet and sit down. She gets louder, he then says that if she keeps it up she needs to get off. She sits down and stays quiet until the next stop and then starts ranting at the new people....louder now....he says that she needs to be quiet and get off or he'll call the cops.

She just waves her fist in the air and continues raving. I wish I knew Spanish it was probably something WAAAYY crazy.. Anyway I got off as he was radioing the cops to meet him at the next big stop (Crenshaw). He told her if she doesn't get off before then, then she'd be arrested.

Suit: $500.00; Groceries from Ralph's: $25.00; Metro Card: $70.00; Crazy Lady on the Bus: PRICELESS

And so I'm getting fairly settled into the room now. I love the house! It's the equivalent of an Eldora Cabin in Claifornia. It's made in the Spanish Deco style, along with all the houses on the neighborhood.

It needs a lot of TLC, basic stuff I've been doing for 6 years with Brian in Eldora...so it should be an awesome project! Better then paying $1000.00 plus in rent though!

Have to wait until Erin makes his trip back with my tools though! Thanks again man! Safe travels, we'll hit up the beach this weekend, I think I may get my hands on a surf board this summer!!

Lunch is almost over and I need to work again...don't know what I'm doing?? I may leave this firm as soon as I get a spot somewhere else. I haven't even met the agent only working for the assitant, which I think he's claiming all my work as his and then he does...nothing?

Not a good situation..I have back-ups though, always three-steps ahead ;)

Oh! And a nice big but rather slow cockroach found his way into my room while I was working out last night. They're night like NYC ones, rookies.
